The aftermath,
It's whatever's to come after,
It's my biggest fear,
It's the scariest chapter.
Or the afterlife,
The life I'd rather not live,
It's a subject I can't process and the thought is too big.
The shock of it all,
It's just too much,
It's not what I want and not a thought I'd like to clutch.
I won't act,
I'm afraid,
It's a feeling I can't shake,
Speaking of it gives me chills,
And thinking of it haunts me still.
But until the time comes I won't lose my will,
I'll let the feelings pass,
Until my heart is whole and my dreams fulfilled.
