Smile and wave,
Have a great day,
Fake a laugh or two,
And then slip away.
Look in the mirror,
And through your dull eyes,
With everything in you,
You try not to cry.
You're alone,
All on your own,
No one you can call,
And with nowhere to go.
With not a slither of hope,
You fall to the ground,
Giving in to the darkness which now surrounds.
The silence has never been this loud.
